Based on the results of the MRI, he could see that the cancer is in 2-3 of her lymph nodes. Once he reviews the PET scan on Monday morning he will have a better idea of exactly how many lymph nodes are affected.
The specific details of her treatment plan are still being worked out and we will post about that as we know more. Natalie and Stephen got word late this afternoon that there are some "kinks" that need to be worked out with the insurance company before proceeding with treatment. We are very hopeful that this can be resolved quickly!
We thank God for the good news that Dr. Khurshid gave us today. We believe in a big God that can and will do big things throughout this journey. He loves Natalie more than we ever could and we are so grateful for that. Please continue to pray for Natalie as she is preparing for the next chapter. A couple specific prayer requests:
- Pray that the insurance situation would be sorted out quickly. This is a completely unneeded stress at this time and our hope is that it is easily resolved on Monday morning. Finding this out on Friday afternoon is certainly not ideal.
- Pray for peace and rest for Natalie. Now that the diagnosis is complete, pray that she would be prepared to begin the treatment phase of this journey and that her mind and body are prepared for the fight!

This is great that it is not in your bones or bloodstream Natalie. Truly an answer to prayer! Continuing to pray. Insurance companies can be a nightmare!
ReplyDeleteIT TRULY IS GREAT NEWS about the bone and blood test. That is a HUGE hurtle behind you. Steve is a smart guy (a Jones of course) for asking Nat... Look at the pic, she's a knock-out!!!
